Bea Carr

Bea Carr is a queer, Austin-based composer with a master's degree in composition from NYU Steinhardt. Through their music, Bea seeks to break music down to its essential parts to capture the inherent sense of fun and play that often becomes obscured in adulthood. By reconciling between process and organicism, Bea aims to discover beauty within patterns, and order within chaos. Through permeative writing, Bea cloaks the listener in fun, rhythmically active textures that unlock harmony through a pointillistic composite. Bea encourages composers, performers, and audiences alike to engage with the community-based process of creating art, through unlocking and liberating one's inner child
